All Energy Solar

Dale Howey : Green Rock Radio

Minneapolis, MN

Dale knows solar, in fact he already had both solar thermal and solar electric on his home.  It wasn’t enough, and to top it off many of his businesses have solar as well. Green Rock Radio AM 950 was transitioned to a more sustainable future with a solar array.  Since his roof was virtually packed with solar panels, the next logical location was his back yard.  Dale’s yard is functional with much of the area used for gardening.  The placement of the ground mount was key to maintaining the functionality of the space.  By building this structure Dale enhances his outdoor living area and creates a great place to enjoy his garden. Our Challenge:

Find a location in the yard where a ground mounted array would maintain functionality of the yard and maximize power output.

Our Solution:

Utilizing a custom designed wood framed pergola structure, we not only incorporated a multi-purpose structure into the landscape, but we located the structure in the optimal position for maximum energy production.

Testimonial:

“We use the pergola all the time. During the growing season it acts as a harvest processing area. The Minnesota Made panels from Silicon Energy, with the rubber waterproofing gaskets, help keep the area dry. We love having friends and family over and enjoying our solar pergola.”  Dale H.
