Cities Edge Motorsports: Environmental Leaders Committed to Renewable Energy
As the leading provider of motorsports vehicles, parts, accessories and service in the Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan area, Cities Edge Motorsports prides itself on its relationships with customers. Chris Smith and his wife own the business, which has been operating for nearly 20 years.
One aspect of the customer relationship is shared values. “Our entire staff, as well as our customer base, are outdoor enthusiasts who place a premium on clean air, water and land resources as priorities to a high quality of life,” said Smith. “Investing in renewable energy systems is consistent with this goal.”
Aside from the commitment to renewable energy, a solar installation for Cities Edge also made economic sense. “Solar was a good option for us, given our electricity needs, especially during the summer,” Smith said.
Cities Edge wanted the ability to contract with a company that could take the project from start to finish with little effort or interruption to the business. When Smith and his colleagues asked around, All Energy Solar received high marks.
“Our initial meetings with All Energy Solar went very well, and I was particularly impressed by their ability and willingness to handle everything with little time or disruption to the business and our employees. This was a major positive for us; it gave us confidence in choosing them for our solar installation,” said Smith.
Once Cities Edge decided to contract with All Energy Solar, the project went smoothly and was completed when promised, according to Smith.
Now that the installation is complete, Smith and his company are already experiencing the emotional and environmental rewards of choosing solar. “We feel great about the project. And we were recently recognized by American Honda as a leader in their national Environmental Leadership Program,” Smith said.
