Cornille Home: A Solar Choice That’s Turnkey and Economical
Dave Cornille was interested in being “green.” But like many homeowners who are environmentally conscious, he wasn’t sure if it would be economical. After building a house with a south-facing roof, he thought solar might be feasible. He contacted All Energy Solar and asked them to explain the possibilities to his family.
“All Energy provided an analysis of our property, and we realized that it would be a relatively short pay-back time. They explained the tax credits, rebates and that our excess energy (if we had some) would be sold to the electric company,” said Cornille. “I felt good about their proposal and what I had heard about them.”
The installation process for Cornille’s home took about six months to complete. “All Energy kept me in the loop as the schedule was adjusted due to weather. They installed the system in January–on one of the coldest days of the year no less–and did a great job,” said Cornille.
The ease of the process was something that Cornille particularly appreciated. “I really didn’t need to do anything once we signed the agreement,” Cornille said. “They literally guided us through the whole process and did almost all the paperwork.”
Cornille and his family are really happy they made the decision to add solar panels. “We feel good about having solar and things have worked well,” said Cornille. “The panels have needed virtually no maintenance. One of our panels was producing about 30 percent less than the others and All Energy worked with the manufacturer to get us a replacement solar panel. It’s been so easy to work with them.”
