LightReach® Frequently Asked Questions
Instead of buying panels for your home, the panels are leased. Palmetto owns, monitors, and maintains the system, and you get all the electricity for a fixed monthly payment.
Every property owner’s situation is unique. Each person’s financial priorities may be different as well. Whether it’s better to lease or buy is an individual decision that should be evaluated as you make your journey to solar power.
As your property will still be connected to the grid, you may still receive a bill from your utility. The amount will vary based on how much electricity you use overall, your solar panels’ production that month, and other factors, like whether you have a battery in your plan, local net metering or net billing regulations.
You can track your solar production in the Palmetto App. Additionally, it is advised to review your electric bill every month to ensure that you’re getting appropriately credited for extra production.
With LightReach®, maintenance is included. Your systems will be monitored proactively to catch and fix problems, sometimes before you’ve had the chance to notice.
