Site Evaluation FAQs
Yes, for commercial properties. You’ll need to provide us with access around your facility. You don't need to be present for residential properties. We rely on satellite images and building codes.
We want to build you a system that's sized to meet your needs and expectations. Knowing your typical yearly energy consumption helps us build the system size that's right for you. We use your historical electric usage to match your consumption to your solar opportunity. It also equips us with the information necessary to create accurate cost savings forecasts for you.
Your sales rep will work with you if there have been any changes to the site such as tree removal, change in roof vent location, structural changes, etc. Our design software allows us to account for many changes. However, once your contract is signed, the first step in the process is a site visit. At this time, one of our site technicians will collect all the information needed to put together your official solar design.
Most residential roofs are structurally adequate for solar panels. The age of your roof could be a factor. It is helpful to know how old your roofing material is so that your sales rep can suggest a roof replacement, if necessary. Additionally, during your site visit, the technician will collect images of the roof and flag it to your design team if there are any concerns. Commercial roofs require All Energy Solar to assess the structural engineering in-person.
