After earning third place in the 2023 Solar Games, we’re returning to claim first place.
The fourth Solar Games will take place in San Diego, California, from January 17-19th during the Intersolar North America and Energy Storage North America Conference (ISNAESNA). The Solar Games are the industry’s first solar installation competition that brings together some of the most talented and committed installer teams. Eight solar companies from around the United States are invited to compete. Each team works to build residential solar and storage systems in front of a live audience while being judged on installation quality, safety, speed, and other criteria in a three-day, tournament-style competition.
The criteria that the competition is judged on are all in alignment with the things we value at All Energy Solar. While the competition focuses on the installation of solar, our standards require much more work behind the scenes. We hold the values of quality, safety, and speed in the office as well from our designers, project managers, and everyone else who works with our customers.
After earning third place at our debut in 2023, we are ready for a first-place victory this year. Not only does the first-place team claim the title of Solar Games Champion, but the team earns a $10,000 cash prize. After getting a better understanding of the competition last year, we are confident going into this year despite our first round being against 2023’s Solar Games Champions.
Our team for the games is comprised of leaders who truly exemplify the values that we have at All Energy Solar. We are excited to send this group out to California for the competition. The All Energy Solar team will consist of electrician Alex Molitor and installers Austin Allen and Kevin Dustrude from Minnesota, joined by Massachusetts installer Jeremy Corneau. The team will be accompanied by Bill Wigstrom as Jr. supervisor and David Getschel as Chief Executive supervisor. Despite coming from different states and teams, we are confident that thanks to All Energy Solar’s high standards of safety, quality, and consistency, the group will be successful in working together.
While there is confidence from the team and the rest of the All Energy Solar employees, it is encouraging just to be invited to compete in the Solar Games. With the large growth of the solar industry, being one of the eight teams that were chosen as the best in the country is no small feat. Our company has grown a lot since our start in 2009, but we continue to place safety and quality as paramount.
