Though solar panels work and generate energy all-year-round once they’re installed, our crews typically have to stop putting up new systems once the snow flies (though as you may have seen on our Instagram or Facebook, plenty of batteries are installed in the winter).
Now that spring has officially sprung, the All Energy Solar crews can get back outside in the field. On Monday and Tuesday, our crews gathered together again to kick off the solar installation season and train for the projects we’ll be working on in the coming months.
Our Co-Founders, Michael Allen and Brian Allen, and other leaders addressed the team about the successes of 2021, the goals for 2022, and what’s in store for All Energy Solar over the coming year.
All Energy Solar hit several milestones in 2022. First, we completed our 6,000th solar installation. Then towards the end of the year, we hired our 200th employee, and we’ve grown even more since then.
As an organization that is striving to be the best, we also reviewed opportunities to enhance collaboration and better serve our customers across the organization.
After the discussions, a little chit-chat, and lunch concluded, the next phase of the training exercises began, which was a bit more hands-on.
Test roofs were placed throughout one of the All Energy Solar warehouses for the team to practice their tasks and techniques.
Training like this is vitally important for our crews. In some cases, it’s been weeks or months since an installer has been up on a roof or maybe it’s their first job in solar installation.
We want to make sure they’ve had the opportunity to brush up their skills before going out into the field. The more they know before their first trip to the first job site of the season, the better off they will be for the rest of the season.
Training Day 2022 is also an occasion to review occupational safety standards to make sure everyone knows how to avoid emergencies or what to do in the case of them.
After all, we are working with electrical components and our teams are often installing solar pretty high up on the roofs of homes and businesses, we want them to be safe.
Additionally, our crews will spend the rest of the year working together. On Training Day, everyone can meet (again or for the first time) and get to know each other a bit before they start installing as a team.
Of course, it was also a perfect day to ensure that our trucks, vans, and trailers were in good working order, ready to haul people and solar installation supplies out into the field.
After two days of training was over, our teams were ready to head out to the first solar installs of the season for All Energy Solar in Minnesota.
Soon you’ll be seeing more and more of our trucks and crews out and about, helping more and more homeowners and businesses make the switch to renewable, reliable, local, and green solar energy.
You could have a bright(er) future ahead of you!
