Battery systems can store clean energy generated by your solar panels and provide backup power in the evening or during emergencies. To encourage you to include batteries in your solar installation, EverSource offers up-front incentives to offset the cost of an energy storage system.
The incentive amount you will receive is based on the capacity of your battery. For each eligible kWh you will receive $230, up to a maximum of $3,000. Funding is limited and provided by the New Hampshire Clean Energy Fund.
In order to qualify for the enrollment incentive, your battery system must be from an approved manufacturer. At this time, the program is only accepting enrollment for Enphase eligible models. All Energy Solar is a trusted installer of qualified Enphase products.
This incentive will be sent in the form of a check once confirmation the battery has received permission to operate and has been accepted into the Demand Response program. If you participate, you must remain in Demand Response events for a minimum of three years. There are no annual performance payments for this program.
Demand Response Program
Approximately 40 Demand Response events will occur June through September between 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. During the events, your battery will be discharged by the manufacturer to a level no lower than 20% of capacity. If there is an extreme weather event in the forecast, Eversource will not draw energy from your battery.
This program can be used in combination with the 30 percent federal tax credit to make a home battery and solar power system more affordable to many.
