Mahtomedi Area Solar Co-op selects All Energy Solar to serve group

St Paul, MN – The Mahtomedi Area Solar Co-op has selected All Energy Solar to install solar panels for the 31-participant group. Co-op participants selected All Energy Solar through a competitive bidding process over two other firms.

“We’re so excited to be selected to help bring affordable, renewable solar power to Mahtomedi and surrounding communities,” said Michael Allen, President and Co-Owner of All Energy Solar. “As a Twin Cities-based business, it’s inspiring to be a part of a program that brings local residents together to make going solar easier than ever. And with many solar incentives such as the Federal Solar Tax Credit scheduled to decline next year, the timing couldn’t be better for those who participate.”

Solar United Neighbors expands access to solar by educating Minnesota residents about the benefits of distributed solar energy, helping them organize group solar installations, and strengthening Minnesota solar policies and its community of solar supporters.

Co-op participants selected All Energy Solar because they offer quality equipment with good warranties, and they have significant experience in the local community.

“I was delighted to hear about and join the Mahtomedi Area Solar Co-op,” said Karen Gruetzmacher of White Bear Lake. “I have long wanted to put a solar array on my house, but the complexity of the project was overwhelming. It is extremely helpful to have a group of interested people asking questions and learning about solar arrays. The help of the Solar United Neighbors staff as we go through the processs already also been most valuable to me.”

“I’m eager to meet and work with All Energy to see how much I can save with my
own solar system,” said Alex Perfetti of White Bear Lake. “I’m happy to have Solar United Neighbors guide me during the process.”

The co-op is open to new participants until October 31. Mahtomedi area residents interested in joining the co-op can sign up at the co-op web page.

The solar co-op is free to join and joining the co-op is not a commitment to purchase panels. All Energy Solar will provide each co-op participant with an individualized proposal based on the group rate. By going solar as a group and choosing a single installer, participants can save on the cost of going solar and have the support of fellow group participants and solar experts at Solar United Neighbors.

Solar United Neighbors supports solar co-ops across the country. These co-ops are a part of the organization’s mission to create a new energy system with rooftop solar as the cornerstone. Solar United Neighbors holds events and education programs to help people become informed solar consumers, maximize the value of their solar investment and advocate for fair solar policies. Those interested in supporting the organizations’ work and becoming a member can do so at their website.
