We’re excited to be celebrating our 15 Year Anniversary this year. We know that, in a rapidly changing industry that is tied very closely to both the economy and the real estate market, it’s no small feat to have made it this far. After all, only 25% of businesses make it to 15 years or more. Last year was a record year for bankruptcies for solar providers. In fact, 2 of the top 20 solar companies in the U.S. went out of business in 2023.

This laser-focus as our north star was just as important in 2009—when brothers Michael and Brian Allen founded the business (with the kitchen of their shared home acting as their office and their garage acting as their warehouse)—as it is today.
