In our profession, it’s sometimes too easy to only be looking ahead; to the next project, the next hire, or the newest technology. But as we welcome in the New Year, we wanted to take a moment to reflect back on some of our accomplishments and successes of 2023. We wouldn’t be here without you, our customer, and the work that you’ve allowed us to do to help bring sustainable and economical solar installations for your home or business.
As a family-owned company, our values have always come first and we’re excited to have added “safety first” to our core values in 2023. This allows us to bring increased emphasis to the importance of making sure everyone goes home safe each day. With this new focus, we performed over 1,000 Safety and Quality Audits on existing installations, resulting in increased awareness of safety, improved quality assurance, and better engagement with our employees in the field.
Getting down to the numbers, we had the privilege of working in 10 U.S. states (Arizona, California, Colorado, Montana, Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire) and even completed our first international project in the last year.
We accomplished a total of 1,469 residential installs, bringing about 33,000 total solar panels online that will generate 13,350 kW of power and 51 commercial installs, with 10,830 panels generating a total of 5,158kW.
As we continue to grow our services, we also installed over 60 roofs and grew our removal and reinstallation business by nearly 100%, with 291 projects completed this year, and nearly 90 projects going into this next season.
To accomplish all of this, we hired 174 new employees in 2023. We cannot represent our 2023 successes without acknowledging the results from our install team, our service team, our warehouse team, our customer experience team, and every single one of our other employees that helped us garner 248 new five-star reviews (adding to our approximately 2,000 existing five-star reviews) for the work we did for you in 2023.
As we enter into our 16th year in business, we recognize that our success is not an accident.
